If you are a fan of the original BASIC Stamp Boe-Bot Robot, but find need to convert one (or whole fleet) be Arduino Uno compatible, use this retrofit kit create “Shield-Bot.”
The Board Education Shield plugs right on top your own (not included!) and two boards held together with included hardware. A 5-AA battery pack brings power supply up above 7 V, recommended input voltage for an Uno. (Also Uno? Get version instead.)
Then, ready follow free web tutorial “Robotics Arduino.” This adaptation Robotics text begins programming tutorial, then works through all classic DIY navigation sensor circuits: touch-whisker switches, light-following photo-transistors, object detection infrared headlights.
